The Remembering Rosewood Centennial Committee has a carefully curated week of events designed to educate, enlighten, and encourage attendees. We will also honor the lives impacted by the fateful events in January 1923 and set the stage for the future leaders to fulfill the legacy of resilience and renewal established by the survivors and heroes of Rosewood. The events are a week-long commemoration of the past with a motivated focus on the future.

Converging on the land which was once the prosperous community of Rosewood, FL the descendants of the eight surviving families will honor the lost souls with a heartfelt wreath dedication and soil ceremony. The keynote will be presented by Gainesville City Commissioner Dr. Cynthia Chestnut.
